Malachi Velez is the Audio/Video Engineer behind Infinite Joy Machine, blending over 25 years of experience as a master electrician with a deep passion for music and live performance. His background in electrical systems gives him a unique command of signal flow, acoustics, and technical precision — allowing him to engineer sessions that are both sonically clean and creatively dynamic. Having hosted an open mic in Richmond, Malachi understands the heartbeat of live performance. He brings that same authenticity into every recording, using professional-grade tools to mix audio and video with clarity, balance, and impact. Above all, Malachi is driven by one mission: to capture the true live feel of a song — preserving the raw energy, emotion, and connection that make music unforgettable.

Jessie Effing-Devine leads Artist Coordination and Outreach for Infinite Joy Machine, building meaningful connections between artists, production, and community. By day, she works as a data analyst, bringing structure, insight, and strategic thinking to every project. By passion, she is a musician and creative who traded women’s tackle football for music — picking up the guitar less than a year ago and fully embracing the journey. Jessie is driven by a belief in community and accessibility. She is passionate about breaking down barriers of entry for independent artists and creating spaces where creativity can thrive without gatekeeping or intimidation. Her work is rooted in the idea that great music shouldn’t depend on who you know — it should depend on who you are. Known for her exceptional interpersonal skills, Jessie is a fantastic listener: understanding, compassionate, and deeply present. Artists trust her because she leads with empathy, honesty, and consistency. At the core of her work is a commitment to building a business founded on friendship, loyalty, and trust — proving that success and integrity can grow side by side.

Johnny Tomato (aka Christopher Norton)is the Performance Coordinator for Infinite Joy Machine, bringing structure, warmth, and steady leadership to every live session. He works closely with artists, engineers, and crew to ensure performances run smoothly, stay on schedule, and reflect each musician’s unique voice. Known for his positive attitude and calm presence, Johnny helps create an environment where artists feel supported, confident, and free to be themselves. Outside the studio, Johnny maintains community gardens and sells his homemade breads at local farmers markets—rooted in the same values of care, creativity, and community that guide his work at IJM. Whether tending plants, baking from scratch, or coordinating a live performance, he approaches everything with intention, generosity, and heart. His dedication to people and place helps make Infinite Joy Machine more than a studio—it’s a true creative home.
